Environmental Initiatives
Fleet Decarbonisation
Safe & Secure is progressively modernising its fleet to reduce carbon intensity per tonne-kilometre. Our initiatives include transitioning to BS-VI compliant vehicles across the entire fleet, evaluating and piloting electric vehicles (EVs) for last-mile and short-haul operations, CNG and LNG vehicle deployment for medium-haul routes where infrastructure supports, route optimisation to reduce empty kilometres and total fuel consumption, idle-time reduction through GPS monitoring and driver training, and regular vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal engine performance and emission compliance.
Fuel Efficiency Programme
Our data-driven fuel management programme tracks fuel consumption per vehicle, per trip, and per lane. We use GPS data, fuel sensor readings, and driver behaviour analytics to identify and eliminate fuel waste. Average fuel savings of 8-12% have been achieved across the fleet through systematic monitoring and driver coaching.
Multimodal Shift
We actively promote modal shift from road to rail for long-haul corridors where rail offers 60-70% lower carbon emissions per tonne-kilometre. Our multimodal logistics platform helps customers reduce their Scope 3 emissions through intelligent mode selection.
Warehouse Sustainability
Our warehousing facilities are progressively adopting LED lighting, solar rooftop installations, rainwater harvesting, waste segregation and recycling, and natural ventilation design to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.
Social Responsibility
Driver Welfare
Drivers are the backbone of Indian logistics. Safe & Secure invests in driver welfare through fair and timely compensation with no payment delays, annual health check-ups and medical support, fatigue management with mandatory rest periods and monitored night halts, driver rest facilities at major depots, training and skill development programmes, accident insurance and family support, and driver recognition and reward programmes for safe driving records.
Community Impact
Through our depot and branch network across India, we contribute to local employment, skill development, and economic activity. Our operations create direct and indirect employment for thousands of families across urban and rural India.

Carbon Footprint Reporting
Safe & Secure is building capability to measure and report carbon emissions across Scope 1 (direct fleet emissions), Scope 2 (energy consumption at facilities), and Scope 3 (supply chain emissions). We are developing carbon emission dashboards that will enable our customers to track the carbon footprint of their logistics operations with Safe & Secure, supporting their own ESG reporting and Net Zero commitments.
