Each pink dot is one consignment, leaving the place it was picked up at the minute it was entered into our register, and flying to the town it was booked for. Bigger dots are heavier; the deep-pink ones are full truckloads. A small ring marks each arrival. Pause, or drag the time bar to any minute of the day.
The flight is compressed to a few seconds so the whole day fits in a minute. It is not a transit time. A consignment usually takes days on the road; our lane pages show real delivery times where we have them.
2,086 of the day's 2,197 consignments have both ends resolved to a known place and are drawn; the counters include all of them. Consignments booked for this date but entered after midnight are added as the clock reaches 24:00.
