In Indian freight, trust is personal. A trader in Surat hands over a bale of cloth to a truck bound for Bihar Sharif because he knows whose name is painted on the office door. Safe & Secure has always worked that way. It is a family business, and the family answers for the load.
Where it began
Safe & Secure began in 1951 as the Agarwal family’s transport business, carrying other people’s goods by road. The trade was simple and hard: find a truck, load it honestly, get it there, collect the freight. What the family built on top of that trade was a reputation, and a reputation in this business is built one delivered consignment at a time.
The business became a private limited company, Safe & Secure Logistics Private Limited, with the family as its directors. It is still family-owned and family-run today.
Growing with India’s freight
The network grew where goods actually move. Textile bales out of Surat and Bhiwandi. Engineering and auto parts out of Pune and the NCR. Into Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Jharkhand is our home base, and the network reaches every state from there. Plant logistics inside automotive factories. Refrigerated trucks on long hauls. Full trucks to the ports, and across the border to Nepal and Bhutan.
In FY2025-26 that network carried ₹11,000 Cr+ of customers’ goods: 1.9 crore+ packages in 5.1 lakh consignments, to more than 2,000 destinations, on 21,000+ trucks mobilised in a year. Each of those figures is counted from the company’s own register and shown, with its method, on the fact sheet.
Big numbers, spoken quietly. The family would rather show you the register than tell you it is the biggest.
Custody, with the evidence attached
For most of Indian trucking’s history, the only proof of a trip was a paper receipt and a phone call. Safe & Secure decided that was not good enough. The company built its own control tower: live GPS and temperature for every truck it watches, and one record of the order, the truck placed, the trip, the delivery and any wait at the dock, which the customer and the transporter both see.
It runs today for a national frozen-food manufacturer’s cold chain, across several transporters. It is the same thing the family has always offered, which is trust, now with the evidence attached.
The family today
The family that built the business still leads it. Ashwin Agarwal leads the company as Chairman and Managing Director. Arnav Agarwal, the Chief Technology Officer and Chief AI Officer, builds the systems that turn the family’s word into data a customer can check.
