Frequently asked questions

What does an institution partnership with SSL include?
Whatever we agree together, from a menu: live projects on public freight data, guest lectures and case studies, visits, internship and apprenticeship routes, and faculty collaboration on research. Nothing is bundled by default.
Do you sign MoUs?
Where an institution needs a written MoU to run a programme, we can discuss one. Its terms are agreed case by case; we do not publish a standard MoU or a list of signatories.
Which institutions do you already partner with?
We do not name partner institutions on this page. Any institution we name in future will have agreed to it in writing.
Can ITIs send apprentices?
Yes, subject to the trade and location. Apprenticeship runs under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the official schemes; details are confirmed at application. See apprenticeship.
Can faculty use SSL data for research papers?
Faculty can use and cite our public research library, which publishes data and limitations. Joint research beyond the public data is discussed case by case and never involves customer-identifying records.
Is this only for Indian institutions?
No. Universities and training bodies anywhere can write to us. Logistics into and out of India is a global subject.
