Shipment planner

The planner puts four checks our desk does on every enquiry into your hands, using public data and our own planning rules. It deliberately shows no price: our desk confirms your price in minutes, for your exact load and day.

1 · Distance and transit

Each pincode is placed at the median location of its India Post offices. The straight-line distance is multiplied by 1.3 to approximate the road. Transit is estimated at about 400 km a day plus one handling day. It is a planning figure, never a promise.

2 · The truck that fits

Your weight is checked against the lower end of each vehicle’s typical payload, and your volume against 85% of a closed body’s cubic capacity (real loads never use every inch). See the truck sizer for the full vehicle table.

3 · Chargeable weight

Part-loads are charged on the higher of actual and volumetric weight. The planner uses 6 kg per cubic foot for illustration; carriers set their own factor. Try other factors in the volumetric weight calculator.

4 · Documents

An invoice or delivery challan and the lorry receipt always; an e-way bill where the value exceeds ₹50,000; safety data sheets for chemicals; a load drawing for anything that may be over-dimensional. See the e-way bill helper.
