Distance & transit estimator
Put in two pincodes and get an approximate road distance and a rough transit time, with the method shown.
Enter two Indian pincodes and this free Safe & Secure Logistics calculator gives an approximate road distance and a rough transit time. The method is shown: straight line distance times a 1.3 road factor, about 400 km a day, plus a handling day. It is labelled approximate, not a promise.
Approximate distance and transit appear here.
How it works
The method, and its limits
Distance = great-circle (haversine) distance between the two pincodes’ post-office locations × 1.3. Pincode locations are the median of the India Post offices in each pincode.
Transit = road km ÷ 400 km a day, rounded up, + 1 handling day. A single-driver truck typically covers 300 to 450 km a day on Indian highways; part-loads also spend time at hubs.
Both figures are for planning. The actual route, checkposts, weather, loading time and the service you book decide the real number, which our desk confirms with your price.
