What does HSN and SAC codes mean in logistics?
Short answer
HSN (Harmonized System of Nomenclature) codes classify goods; SAC (Services Accounting Codes) classify services under GST. The code determines the tax rate and appears on invoices, e-invoices and e-way bills.
