What does Lorry receipt (LR) mean in logistics?
Short answer
The document a road carrier issues on accepting goods, recording consignor, consignee, description, packages, weight, freight and payment basis. It is the receipt for the goods and evidence of the contract of carriage; the LR number (CN number) identifies the consignment.
