Where you could learn

These are the trades a logistics network like ours actually uses every day. Tell us which one you want; details are confirmed at application.

  • Drivers

    Commercial driving done safely: vehicle checks, loading discipline, documents on the road, fuel sense and the conduct a customer notices at the gate. Licence rules apply, so tell us the licence you hold.

  • Warehouse operations

    Receiving, put-away, picking, packing, stock counts and dispatch paperwork. This is the work that decides whether goods leave on time and complete.

  • Fleet maintenance

    For mechanic, electrician and diesel-trade learners: preventive checks, tyres, brakes, reefer units and the records that keep a truck on the road.

  • Logistics executive

    Booking, truck placement, tracking, proof of delivery and customer updates at a branch or control desk. A path for graduates and diploma holders.

How apprenticeship works in India

Apprenticeship is regulated. We follow the official framework. These are the official sources, and we have not summarised them.

  • The law

    Apprentices Act, 1961

    The Act and the Apprenticeship Rules set out the contract of apprenticeship, the minimum stipend, training hours and the certificate you receive. Full text on India Code.

  • ITI & freshers

    NAPS

    The National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme runs through the apprenticeshipindia.gov.in portal, where apprentices and establishments register and contracts are recorded.

  • Graduates & diplomas

    NATS

    The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme runs through the Boards of Apprenticeship Training on nats.education.gov.in, for engineering and non-engineering graduates and diploma holders.

Frequently asked questions

What is an apprenticeship under Indian law?
Apprenticeship in India is governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules made under it. An apprentice learns on the job under a contract of apprenticeship, is paid a stipend at no less than the rate the Rules prescribe, and is not treated as a regular employee during the training period.
What are NAPS and NATS?
The National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) is run by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship through the apprenticeship portal, mainly for ITI-trained, fresher and optional-trade apprentices. The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) is run by the Ministry of Education through the Boards of Apprenticeship Training, for graduates and diploma holders, on the NATS portal. Which scheme applies depends on your qualification and the trade.
Is SSL registered on these portals, and what stipend will I get?
The programme details (scheme, trade, stipend and duration) are confirmed when you apply. We will not quote a stipend or a registration status on this page until it is confirmed in writing for your trade and location.
Can I get a driving apprenticeship without a licence?
Driving on public roads needs the right licence under the Motor Vehicles Act. If you do not yet hold one, tell us; the desk can talk about the other trades or about what you need first.
Does an apprenticeship lead to a job?
An apprenticeship is training, not a guaranteed job. Many employers do hire from their apprentices. We will tell you honestly what openings exist when you finish.
Can my ITI or college send a group?
Yes. Institutions can use the institution partnership door so we can plan together.
