Each track is real work with a named person to answer to. You can say "not sure" and we will suggest one after we talk.

  • Operations

    Sit with a branch or control desk. Follow a consignment from booking to proof of delivery, learn how a truck is hired, loaded and tracked, and fix one thing that slows it down.

  • Data & analytics

    Work on the same kind of freight data that built our research library: freight flows, seasonality, transit times. Clean it, question it, and turn it into a decision.

  • Technology

    Web, tracking, integrations and the control-tower tools we run for reefer fleets. Ship something small that real people use.

  • Marketing & content

    Explain freight to shippers in plain words, in English and Indian languages. Research, write, design and measure what brings a real enquiry.

From first message to first day

  1. Tell us about you

    The form below takes two minutes: course, year, city, dates and the track you want. A CV helps but is not required.

  2. A conversation

    If there is a fit, someone from the team calls or emails to talk about the work and what you want from it.

  3. Written confirmation

    Role, location, dates, reporting person and stipend (if any) are confirmed to you in writing before you start.

  4. Day one

    You meet your team, the problem and the finish line. At the end you present your work and get your letter.

Frequently asked questions

Does SSL pay interns a stipend?
Stipend, if any, depends on the role, the duration and the city, and is confirmed in writing before you start. We do not publish a figure we have not fixed for your internship.
Which cities can I intern in?
Internships are hosted where a team can look after you. Our branch register lists branches in 17 states, including Surat, Bhiwandi, Pune, Kanpur, Delhi, Bhilwara, Ludhiana, Faridabad. Some data and technology work can be remote. Tell us your city; we confirm the location when we reply.
How long is an internship?
You choose the window that fits your academic calendar: from a few weeks in a summer break to a full semester. The length is agreed with you and, if needed, with your college.
Can my college credit the internship?
Yes, where your college allows it. We can sign the forms your college needs and give you a letter describing what you did. If your college has a formal process, see institution partnerships.
I am not from a logistics or business course. Can I apply?
Yes. Freight needs engineers, statisticians, writers, designers and accountants. Tell us what you study and what you want to learn.
What happens after I apply?
A person reads every application. If there is a fit, someone from the team calls or emails you to talk about the work, dates and location. If there is no fit now, we keep your details (with your consent) for the next opening.
